On 29th August, Rye Chapter No 2272 celebrated member Mike Horwood's 50 years in the Royal Arch.
At a happy meeting at Freemasons’ Hall, Assistant Metropolitan Grand Superintendent E Comp Simon White presented Mike with his Long Service Certificate; and recounted his Masonic and personal achievements – including when Mike decided to spend one of his first ever pay packets on a Lambretta scooter!
Mike has been a true supporter of London, serving as a VO and SVO and earning Grand Rank in both the Craft and Royal Arch. Still swimming every day and helping with ritual whenever he can, Mike is enjoying his Masonry as much now as he was when he joined over half a century ago.
